My 2D Platformer project: The Road To Hell.

Letter from the developer:

Warning: level 3 Arrival and 5 Escape are hard, it may take a while to get to get used to them but once you adapt, they are in my opinion the most fun levels in the game.

Modifications include: 

  • Designing five varied levels with their own gameplay style: Level 1 is a tutorial, level 2 is a descent while being pursued, 3 has tricky platforming, 4  has a boss fight, ect...
  • Level 5 has a new hazard: a rising lava tide that I've coded and the entire level is based around.
  • Level 4 is a Boss fight in which I modified and coded to work with a health bar UI  and drop a goal pick up upon death.
  • Level 2 has a new enemy, the Pursuer Hellspawn, made using assets that were provided to create a new enemy to chase the player in level 2.
  • All of the UI has been modified to fit the theme of the game.
